Aheloy is a small village in the Southern Black Sea coast, named after a river nearby.  It is located between some of the most frequented sea resorts – Sunny Beach, Nessebar and Pomorie, which are just a few kilometers away. The winter in the area is warm, the summer – cool, with temperatures varying from –4 to +30?C. The village has a population of about 3000 people and offers peace, tranquility and clear nature to its inhabitants and visitors. Southern from Aheloy is situated the self-titled camping site with a small charming beach, that marks the beginning of 10km long sand frontage, heading South and reaching the town of Pomorie. The village disposes with a port, suitable for yachts and small boats. The most significant event in the history of Aheloy is the battle of August 917 – one of the most impressive battles of the Middle Ages - when Tsar Simeon The Great defeats the outnumbering Byzantine army and defines Bulgaria as the leading force in the whole South-Eastern Europe. Nowadays this historical place is quiet and calm, the villagers are hospitable and warm-hearted.
