The town of Razlog is situated in the Southwestern part of Bulgaria, between Bulgaria’s two most beautiful mountains – Rila (the highest mountain on the Balkans) and Pirin (the so-called mountain of the Gods). The nature has been especially generous, blessing the area with numerous hot mineral water springs, possessing also healing powers. Many of the villages around Razlog (Eleshnitza, Katarino, St. Varvara,),  have developed SPA centers and health resorts, offering to their guests diverse procedures for balneotherapy. The town is very close to the most popular ski resorts in Bulgaria – Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovetz, which makes it an excellent location for the lovers of the winter sports as well. Razlog is famous also for its unique architecture, representing the spirit of the Bulgarian Renaissance and culture. Most of the houses in the town are built in the traditional Bulgarian style, typical for the beginning of the past century, which makes them worthy of true cultural monuments. The whole infrastructure of the town is well developed, with lots of gardens and parks, mineral water fountains and plenty of magnificent views to the Rila and Pirin mountains, their cool green forests and rivers. The clean air, the mineral springs and the unique serenity of the mountain forests make of Razlog a desired destination for rural tourism and recreation, that attracts more and more people every day.
