Seven Bulgarian Black Sea beaches are going to be offered for concession and are located at the sea resorts “St. St. Konstantin and Elena”, “Golden Sands”, “Albena”, and “Elenite”.
The Bulgarian Cabinet has decided to open procedures for the concession since it would preserve and save the beaches, increase the quality of services offered at Black Sea resorts, create new employment opportunities and provide new revenues from concession payments in the State budget.
A five-member committee including the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, experts from the Cabinet, the Finance Ministry and the State Commission for National Security (SANS) and chaired by The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Asen Gagauzov is going to be created. The Committee will have the task to organize and conduct an open procedure for the beaches’ concession.
The maximum concession period would be10 years as provided by the Black Sea Law.
