During the first five months of 2008 foreign tourists have spent 601 million euros in Bulgaria.
The data was announced in the beginning of August by the Chair of Bulgaria's State Tourism Agency Aneliya Krushkova.
According to Krushkova, Bulgaria would register an impressive growth in the number of foreign tourists at the end of 2008.
The amount is an increase of 12,7% compared to January-May of 2007.
Krushkova further pointed out that in January-June of 2008 Bulgaria had attracted 17,4% more foreign tourists compared to the same period of 2007.
