Bulgaria Has Attracted over 8 Billion of Dollars as Foreign Direct Investments


According to the 2008 World Investment Report of the UNCTAD, which was presented recently in Sofia, Bulgaria has attracted a total of 8,429 billions of $ of foreign direct investments in 2007,

This data shows that in 2007 Bulgaria's foreign direct investments have increased by 900 millions of $ compared to 2006.

Bulgaria ranks fourth among the twelve new EU member states by the volume of the foreign direct investments in the country in 2007. The top three ranks are occupied by Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic.
